– Chicken thighs  – Garlic salt – Black pepper – Olive oil

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix together garlic salt and pepper. Then season with salt and pepper mixture on both sides of the chicken.

Step 2

Add olive oil to a cast iron skillet. Preheat the skillet over medium-high heat until the oil is hot

Step 3

Put chicken thighs skin side in the pan. Cook without moving them for 5-7 minutes so the chicken skin can get a crispy sear.

Step 4

Once the chicken skin is golden and crispy, use long tongs to turn them over. Do the same to the other side.

Step 5

Transfer the skillet with the chicken to the oven and roast for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.

You can also add some heat with a pinch of cayenne pepper, or keep it mild with just salt and pepper.
