Valentine’s Day M&M cookies

The best version of that classic M&M cookies original recipe that we all know and love. It is perfect for baking a batch of crispy, chewy, wonderfully sweet, and crunchy homemade cookies that the whole family will enjoy.

– All-purpose flour – Baking soda – Eggs – Vanilla extract – M&Ms candies

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375º F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper, a Silpat baking sheet, or spray baking sheets with cooking spray.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, stir the flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugars together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until creamy. Turn the speed of the mixer to low and add flour mixture just until blended.

Step 4

Gently stir in 1 cups of M&Ms by hand with a spoon.  Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets.

Step 5

Bake cookies in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cookies are golden brown around the edges and just set in the center.

Step 6

Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before transferring the cookies to a wire rack. Gently press in remaining cup of M&Ms into cookies before cooling.

The M&Ms will crack and melt slightly during baking. Add half of the M&Ms after baking creates cookies with intact M&Ms and make a better presentation.
