Instructions
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
In a medium bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Use a pastry blender or a fork to cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Layer pear slices evenly in the bottom of the baking pan. Spoon the crumb mixture over the top.
Bake at 375ºF for 30-35 minutes, until pears are tender and the top is golden brown in color. Serve warm with a drizzle of cream or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
Notes
Ripe pears can be refrigerated to slow the ripening process for up to five days.
Use two forks to cut in the butter if you don't have a food processor or pastry blender.
