EASY OVERNIGHT SOURDOUGH BREAD

Foolproof Recipe!

This is the perfect sourdough bread recipe for a beginner! It is easy and forgiving and virtually foolproof.

1. Sourdough Starter at room temperature 2. Filtered Water warm but not hot 3. All-Purpose Flour - see recipe notes for other options 4. Sea Salt

HOW TO MAKE OVERNIGHT SOURDOUGH BREAD

The Easiest Recipe

In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter and warm water until dissolved. Add bread flour and sea salt. Stir to form a shaggy dough.

Cover the bowl with a towel and rest the dough for 30 mins. Tip the dough out; fold and stretch the dough several times.

Return dough to the bowl, cover and rest for 8-10 hours. Work again on a floured surface, return to the bowl, and rest the dough 1  hour.

Move the dough onto parchment paper. Slash the top of the loaf, and transfer dough to a dutch oven.

Bake the Bread

Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 minutes. Remove from dutch oven and bake on the rack for 10 minutes.

Remove the baked bread from the oven, and let cool for at least one hour before slicing.  Enjoy!
