Blackstone grills became very popular several years ago- and if you have ever used one before it is easy to see why! You can cook an entire meal on one surface and it’s big enough to feed everyone at an event or just have a cozy Sunday breakfast with your family. I can’t tell you how many weekend breakfasts I cooked on the griddle while watching my kids ride their bikes around in the early morning light. I hope you enjoy our collection of Blackstone griddle recipes.

Why You’ll Love Our Blackstone Griddle Recipes
Tips Before You Fire Up The Griddle
- Make sure your griddle is well seasoned
- Preheat the griddle (to the temperature you’ll be cooking at) prior to placing any food on the surface
- Prepare all your ingredients while the griddle is preheating
- Use heating zones individually, for example, I’ll cook my proteins on one side so that I can get it nice and hot and then on the other side of the griddle will be low or medium (think veggies, toasting buns, warming up rice, etc)

Any flat-top cooking surface will do but some of the electric griddle or stove top griddles have a smaller surface area to work with. You might need to be mindful of space and halve the recipe depending on what size you are using.
Yes, a small amount of high smoke point oil before cooking helps avoid any sticking. When cooking high fatty foods (like bacon) this is generally not a necessary step.
You’ll want a wide metal spatula for cooking and a bench scraper and squirt bottle for cleaning. Extra spatulas in varying sizes are helpful to have, but not necessary in the beginning. Using a squirt bottle to apply water and a scraper to scrape off the steamed food makes cleaning your Blackstone griddle easy! If you are cooking vegetables often or plan to melt cheese on your food another helpful item is a Blackstone basting cover (looks like a metal dome).
I highly recommend cooking bacon (or another high fat ingredient) on your Blackstone for the first time after you properly season it. Bacon grease ensures that any spots you might have missed while seasoning get another coat. Also, it makes your food taste delicious!
